MOUNT VERNON, Va – Senator Linda T. “Toddy” Puller (D-36th Senate District), like all Virginians, is deeply troubled by the recent gang rape allegations at University of Virginia in the RollingStone article of November 19, 2014. This article, compounded with the abduction and murders of Hannah Graham, a constituent, and Morgan Harrington and Yeardley Love, reveals a serious and systemic problem on college campuses. Senator Puller fully supports Delegate David J. Toscano (D-57th House District) call for a legislative hearing to examine the reporting practices of sexual assault at Virginia universities and colleges.
